Your sump pump is the heart of your waterproofing system. This is a non-negotiable item that every waterproofing system relies upon to work, even in the most extreme conditions. We will never settle for second best when it comes to which sump pump system we install in your home. Blue Angel pumps are hands down the best pumps on the market, and when it comes to pumps, you get what you pay for. Here’s why we install Blue Angel:
Watch the demo video, a picture can say 1,000 words: Blue Angel Pump Wars
Blue Angel pumps, particularly their professional-grade models, are built with heavy-duty cast iron or stainless steel housings. This robust construction makes them more durable and better at dissipating heat than pumps made from thermoplastic, which extends their lifespan.
A key feature in many Blue Angel pumps is their top suction intake. This design draws water from the top of the pump, which helps prevent debris and small solids from entering and clogging the system. It also helps to prevent "airlock," a common issue where a pocket of air gets trapped and prevents the pump from working.
The company emphasizes rigorous testing. Pumps are tested for 1 million cycles, which is significantly more than many competitors. This indicates a high level of confidence in the pump's reliability and durability.
Blue Angel offers a solid warranty on many of its products, typically a 3- to 5-year limited warranty. Which is a good indicator of a manufacturer that stands behind its products.
Many Blue Angel pumps are designed with features that appeal to professional contractors such as a low amp draw motor for efficiency and specific models with a dual-suction design that combines the benefits of top and bottom suction.
A battery backup sump pump is a critical piece of equipment that provides a reliable safety net against basement flooding. Its primary benefit is providing protection when your main sump pump fails. This can happen for two main reasons: a power outage during a severe storm or a mechanical failure of your primary pump.
The system works by having a secondary pump with its own power source—a deep-cycle battery—that automatically activates when the primary pump loses power or can’t keep up with a high volume of water. This ensures continuous water removal from your basement, even if the electricity is out. This can save you from a major headache and the significant financial cost of repairing a flooded basement.
Interstate batteries for our battery backup units are another reason our systems stand above the rest. The battery in your sump pump system is a place where many companies will try to skim the cost and buy the cheapest off-brand battery they can find. You bought your battery backup pump to work when you need it the most, and installing high quality products ensures that happens. Interstate deep-cycle batteries are a popular and well-regarded brand. Their reputation is built on a strong history of reliability and a widespread distribution network. Professionals consider them a top choice.
| Type | Best For | Key Benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Sump Pump | Everyday groundwater control | Automatic removal, efficient operation |
| Battery Backup Pump | Outages or primary failure | Runs without power, emergency protection |
| Dual System | Full protection | Zero downtime, maximum reliability |
Transferrable coverage on all installations.

EXCELLENT Based on 63 reviews Posted on Bill AbramsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great company! Outstanding group of guys. Dave, John, Zach, Atilio. Top notch!! Great workmanship at an affordable price. Have used Spartan on multiple jobs and will continue to use them in the future!Posted on Blair PetersonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are new home owners and unfortunately realized a month in that our crawl space was in terrible shape with an improperly done and incomplete encapsulation. John came out and inspected and gave a very honest, straightforward, and professional opinion on what was needed to get things corrected. This was in stark contrast to the other companies that gave estimates. It was clear that Spartan Wall Repair cares about this work and focuses on getting things done right without the manipulative salesperson tactics and extortion-level prices. We soon after had them back out to install drainage lines for our downspouts. Both jobs were done quickly and efficiently with a crew of 2-3 people. We are impressed and happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone in need of their services.Posted on EmilyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spartan did a great job. John wrote us a quote to repair/sister joists that were damaged from termites. He came and provide a quote and answered my questions without some crazy pushy sales pitch and AI graphics (I’m looking at you basement doctor). Not only that but I had probably 1 million more questions after he left and John was always obliged to talk things through. Zach and Atilio repaired our floor joists and they did so in a timely manner with intent and quality. They were professional and friendly and cleaned up well after leaving. There was a small scope of the work that was missed but when I brought it up Zach had a quick run to the store and back and took care of it in no time. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Dave while making my final payment and he seemed like an honest and genuine guy. If I have any other basement needs in the future they will be my first call. I also hope that anyone out there who needs some work done gives them a shot! Sometimes it can bring a lot of comfort to go with the company that’s been around for 20+ years but it comes at a steep price. I had 4 other quotes done and Spartan had the best price and tbh the most comprehensive quote out of them all. Last but not least, I paid to have about X amount of joists repaired and they added support to a few more. Not sure if they had extra material or what but I think it is really great that they added that on (cost free to me). Super happy with the work, Thanks guys!Posted on Sherry WoodTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zach's team did a wonderful job without foundation repair. The communication was on point and customer service at the top of their priorities. The team returned to clean up an area that they forgot. Totally unexpected. Would recommend again.Posted on Adam ChioccaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zach and the team did an amazing job on my foundation repair project. Yes, my insurance company threatened to cancel my policy and I was very worried but Zach and the team with Spartan Wall Repair did an amazing job and everything got approved! My homeowner’s insurance policy is now intact and good, thanks to Spartan Wall Repair. I give them 5 stars!Posted on Kate BlairTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spartan Wall was very informative on the repairs that were needed to our basement foundation. They were quick to schedule the job and keep me informed throughout the process. I would highly recommend!Posted on Dax ClapsaddleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently had a large basement wall repair completed at our home in Richwood, Ohio, and we could not be happier with Spartan Wall Repair. From the initial consultation through completion, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They clearly explained the repair process, showed up when they said they would, and completed the work efficiently and neatly. The quality of the workmanship gave us real peace of mind, and the basement now feels solid and secure. I would highly recommend Spartan Wall Repair to anyone needing foundation or basement wall repairs.Posted on Carol TillmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spartan Wall Repair just completed installing floor load beam supports & crawlspace encapsulation for me. Needless to say, it is not something you find out that needs to be done. However I can say I was very impressed from the first to the last person I met from this company & the work they did. I would definitely recommend them & suggest you check out this company if you ever have a need.Posted on Dan SprangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a wonderful experience with Spartan. We did not feel pressured at all when John originally met with my wife and I to look at our basement and exterior structural issues. Once we agreed to the work, the crews showed up on the exact date and at the time they said they would be there and then Dave and his crew completed all the work on time and in a very professional manner. Would give them 10 stars if I could. We were very impressed and would highly recommend them.Posted on Megan MichelleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dave and his guys came out quickly while we were in the process of wrapping up a closing on our house and needed a pretty costly repair done to satisfy the appraisal process. They were fast, friendly, and we feel the cost of the work was fair compared to another local company that came in higher in their quote. Highly recommend Spartan for any work you need done.
