The Reality of Concrete Work
We believe in being 100% honest with our customers. Installing an interior drainage system involves breaking up the concrete floor perimeter with jackhammers. This creates dust. Any contractor who tells you their process is completely “dust-free” is not telling the truth.
How We Control It
However, the process doesn’t have to ruin your home. We treat your house like our own.
- Plastic Barriers: We hang heavy plastic sheeting to seal off the work area from the rest of the basement or the upstairs living area.
- Air Filtration: We use industrial fans and negative air pressure to pull dust out of the air before it settles.
- Floor Protection: We lay down heavy paths to protect your carpets and hardwood from work boots and equipment.
What You Should Do
To prepare for our arrival, we recommend:
- Covering sensitive electronics (TVs, computers) with plastic or sheets.
- Moving small items away from the walls where we will be working.
- Closing HVAC vents in the basement to prevent dust from entering the ducts.
Rest assured, our crew’s last job of the day is cleaning up. We don’t leave a disaster behind.
